His thesis, which is bound to be controversial, forces a fundamental paradigm shift in a comfortable long standing belief in the origin of our current practice. It is hard to dispel such a long standing belief but it is most interesting to see how the wellspring of these beliefs can be based on such flimsy underpinnings.
